Northern Shield Academy

This structure, entirely of wood-construction, is an attractive private school encompassing kindergarten to grade 12. Included in the different school areas are the necessary classrooms, computer/technology room, music room, kitchen/lunchroom area, library, staff room and administrative offices. Extra care was taken to choose colours and finishes to make all school rooms comfortable for both students and teachers.

Northern Shield Academy is a privately run school for roughly 80 Brethren children from the Stonewall, Woodlands and Winnipeg area. As a funded private school the lesson plan follows the mandatory provincial curriculum, but the classes are taught in a manner that respects their religious beliefs.
